Different technologies can be used to apply hard coatings. Two possibilities are ion-assisted vacuum deposition and the dip lacquer technique.

Our top-of-the-line coating packages consist of:
hard coating + multilayer anti-reflective coating + dirt repellent coating
Hard coatings protect plastic lenses against external influences. A plastic lens with a hard coating is as much as six times harder than an uncoated lens.
