The name of the new global company: Carl Zeiss Vision.
Now our vision of creating the world's new leader in lens quality has become reality.
The launch of our global activities is currently underway.

| |
Effective 1 October 2010, Carl Zeiss acquired the voting rights of the private equity company EQT – formerly also with a 50% interest in Carl Zeiss Vision – and therefore 100% control of the world’s second largest eyeglass lens provider.
From fiscal year 2010/11 onward, Carl Zeiss Vision will be integrated into the Carl Zeiss Group in the form of the “Vision Care" business group and – like the other subsidiaries – will be legally and economically autonomous. |
