| AALEN/Germany, 25.04.2008. Effective 1 May 2008, Carl Zeiss Vision International is expanding its Board of Management. As the third Member of the Board, Dr. Raymund Heinen (49 years) will assume the newly created position of Chief Operations Officer (COO). After studying mechanical engineering at the RWTH University in Aachen (Germany), Heinen worked for many years for the companies Bosch, LUK and Hella in Europe, Asia and North America – most recently as President and CEO responsible for operations in the Americas. In addition to his position at Carl Zeiss Vision International, Heinen will also be Managing Director of Carl Zeiss Vision GmbH in Aalen. Dr. Norbert Gorny, President and CEO of Carl Zeiss Vision International, sees this as an important step: “After the merger of the Carl Zeiss eyeglass business with SOLA International in 2005, the integration phase has been completed. We have now defined our structure for the future. The global production activities which Dr. Heinen is taking over play a key role here.” The CFO on the Board of Management at Carl Zeiss Vision International is Mr. Klaus Leinmüller.
